Moving Photos: Rearrange Images on Your Page

Rearranging Photos Made Simple

Once you’ve added photos to a page, you can move them around to get the perfect arrangement. Recollect Studio uses a long press and drag gesture that makes repositioning photos feel natural and intuitive.

Step 1: Long Press on a Photo

Place your finger on the photo you want to move and hold for about one second. You’ll see the photo lift slightly and a subtle highlight appear, indicating it’s ready to be dragged.

Step 2: Drag to a New Position

While still holding the photo, drag it to the spot where you want it. As you move the photo around the page, you’ll see visual cues showing where it can be placed.

Step 3: Drop to Swap

Release your finger to drop the photo into its new position. If you drag a photo onto another photo, the two images will swap places automatically — neither photo is lost.

Tips for Arranging Your Photos

  • Plan your focal point — Place your strongest photo in the largest frame on the page to draw the viewer’s eye
  • Tell a story — Arrange photos in a logical sequence, such as chronological order or from wide shots to close-ups
  • Balance the page — Distribute colors and brightness evenly so one corner doesn’t feel heavier than the rest
  • Try different combinations — Don’t be afraid to experiment with different arrangements until the page feels right
